Balanchine Celebration

Description

Celebrating George Balanchine, one of the 20th century’s greatest artistic figures and founder of New York City Ballet, this performance features a selection of the world’s finest dancers in a unique evening of Balanchine ballets. Members of Colorado Ballet’s corps de ballet will perform Concerto Barocco with guest principal dancers.

The program will also include Duo Concertant*, Tschaikovsky Pas de Deux*, Elegie* and the debut of American Ballet Theatre superstar Herman Cornejo in Balanchine’s seminal masterpiece, Apollo*. Other dancers appearing on Balanchine Celebration include Isabella Boylston, Carla Körbes, Misa Kuranaga, Sara Mearns, Tiler Peck, Lauren Lovette, Jared Angle, Zachary Catazaro, Chase Finlay and Joseph Gordon.

Lawn Seating at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater is $20. Children 12 and under are free on the lawn when accompanied by an adult. Students 13 - 18 years of age may purchase lawn tickets for $10. Reserved Pavilion seating ticket pricing is based on availability and is subject to change.
